This Church is apostolic because it continues in the teaching and fellowship of the apostles and is sent to out carry Christ’s mission to all people.
A Prayer for Americans Serving in the Military
O Lord God of Hosts, stretch forth, we pray Thee, Thine almighty arm to strengthen and protect those who serve in the armed forces of our country. Support them in the day of battle, arm them with Thy defence, preserve them evermore from all perils, and in the time of peace keep them safe from all evil; endue them with courage and loyalty; and grant that in all things they may serve without reproach; remind us who benefit from their many sacrifices to honor them in thought, word and deed, and to remember them in our daily prayers; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Quotes of the Month
"Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out ….? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly." (Matthew 11:28-30)

...the more I have read the Bible and studied the life of Jesus, the more I have become convinced that Christianity spreads best not through force but through fascination.

“Man’s capacity for justice makes democracy possible; but man’s inclination to injustice makes democracy necessary.” Richard Neibuhr
